Alton Lamar Vaughan, 39, of Cartersville passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012. Born July 6, 1972 in Cartersville he was the son of Kenneth Vaughan and Linda McElrath Vaughan. He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Mary Ledford. She was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Evelyn Croy. Alton was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and was employed by C & C Gutters.



Survivors include his parents; his fiancé, Sharon Leachman; his sons, Paden Vaughan and Gavin Vaughan; his step-daughters, Chelsey Leachman, Savannah Leachman and Michaela Leachman; his brothers, Kenny Lee Vaughan and Terry Lynn Vaughan; his sisters, Sherry LaFontaine, Mandy Womack, Lisa Ann Gipson, Diane Bingham and Gail Ward; and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with the Reverend Jacob LaFontaine and the Reverend James Kiser officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.



Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Ray, Neil Ray, Jason Hughes, Ron Bruce, Cody Adcock, and Chad Collum. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home by 1:15 on Wednesday.



The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
