Anthony Ray Young, age 32, of 226 Turner Road, Rome died Sunday, May 19, 2007 at his residence.

Anthony was born in Rome, Georgia on March 5, 1975, the son of Clara Harper Young and the late Joseph Ray Young. He graduated from Armuchee High School in 1993. Anthony lived all of his life in Rome and Floyd County. He was a welder for over 10 years. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Young.

Survivors include his son, Jackson Young; his mother, Clara Harper Young; sister and brother-in-law, Jaime Young and Richard Tucker; aunt and uncle; Larry and Annette Gurley; one niece, Anna Young and one nephew, Kalen Tucker.

Funeral services for Anthony will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday at the Oaknoll Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Miles officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
