Obituary for Annette E. Odom

Mrs. Annette E. Odom, age 90 of Cartersville, died Saturday June 7, 2014 at her residence. Born January 2, 1924 in Blairsville, Georgia she was the daughter of the late Homer Ellis and Pauline Chapman Ellis. Mrs. Odom was also preceded in death by her husband Herman Odom; a son Edwin Odom; her sisters Dorothy Parris and Maurine Ellis; and her brothers James, Garnett, and Ronnie Ellis.
Annette was of the Baptist faith and was a supporter of the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Her favorite television pastor was John Hagee. She was a very independent and godly woman. She structured her life by the word of God and was very giving.
Survivors include her son, Bobby Odom of Cartersville; her daughter, Elaine (Jerry) Vaughn of Adairsville; grandchildren, Ricky (Tammy) Odom, Kelli (Bill) Patrick, Christie Fox, Jessica Kirk, Rena (Troy) Dishmon, and Tommy Vaughn; great-grandchildren, Trevor Odom, Brittney (Donald) Tardy, Kayleigh (Josh) Downer, Kara (Josh) Medford, Annabeth and Charleston Fox, Quinton and Brady Kirk, Tad, Brandon, and Ryley Dishmon; sisters, Shirley Kalb and Lenna Sue Paige; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday June 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Acworth.
