Obituary for Dallas Leon Jackson

Dallas Leon  Jackson
Mr. Dallas Leon Jackson, 88, of Cartersville, died Monday, February 15, 2016 at Cartersville Heights.

Born December 7, 1927 in Atco, he was a son of the late Vince Jackson, and the late Ada Mae Hillhouse Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a World War II Veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps. His first love was fishing, and he also loved working on cars and vintage cars in original condition. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Lewis Jackson; a son, Rodney Jackson; brothers, Silas Jackson and Richard Jackson; a granddaughter, Christy King; and a grandson-in-law, Graham Allen.

Survivors include his son, Barry Jackson and his wife Donna; daughter, Dale King and her husband Mickey; daughter-in-law, Vanessa Jackson and Billy Cornwell; grandchildren, Shane Jackson and his wife Kim, Rhonda Collum and her husband Bradley, Terryl Abernathy and her husband Teddy, DeeJay Sexton and her husband Joseph, Nataly Pharr and her husband Wesley, and Melissa Allen; great-grandchildren, Twyla Miller and her husband Jason, Tayler Hite, Jyllian Sexton, and Josiah Sexton; great-great-grandchildren, Kason Miller and Kenli Miller.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Jody Cagle officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Joseph Sexton, Shane Jackson, Bradley Collum, Wesley Pharr, Jason Miller, and Billy Cornwell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Teddy Abernathy, Kason Miller, and Josiah Sexton.
