Obituary for Helen Marie Demartini

Helen Marie  Demartini
Mrs. Helen Marie DeMartini, age 96, of Cartersville, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Born in Acosta, Pennsylvania on May 25, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John Veskosky and Julia O’Hara Veskosky.

Mrs. DeMartini enjoyed cooking, gardening, Christmas time and loved birds. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph DeMartini.

Survivors include her children, Mildred Harb and husband, Fred of Cartersville and Joseph Giuseppe DeMartini of Cartersville; her grandchildren, Tara Ball of Cumming, Kenneth Harb of White and Christopher Harb of Cumming; her great-grandchildren, Christopher Andrew Harb and Joseph William Harb both of Cumming; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2016 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Ronnie Cline officiating. Mrs. DeMartini will be transported to Woodside, New York, where she will be interred on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted, but for those who choose, donations may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
