Obituary for Eugene Wilbanks
Mr. Eugene Talmedge Wilbanks, 77, of Cartersville, died Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Dallas, Georgia on September 16, 1938, he was the son of the late Richard Wilbanks and Lois Meeks Wilbanks.
Mr. Wilbanks was a member of Praise Tabernacle. He loved his children and enjoyed visiting with them and his friends. He was a jack of all trades and a workaholic. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Jacobs and Margie Silvers; and his brothers, Robert, Thomas and Jerry Wilbanks.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Patterson Wilbanks; his step-children, Glenda Sellers, Linda Fuller (Kirt), Johnny Lowe (Teresa), Jimmy Lowe, Kathy Ivey (Anthony), Vickie Moore (Freddie), Mary Bryant (Ricky), Ann Hendrix and Julie Smith (Stevie); his sister, Shirley Camp; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Wilbanks; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Brother Joe Land officiating. Burial will follow in Cassville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Silvers, Jimmy Hensley, Daniel Thacker, Kelly Nelson, Candi Nicholas and Martha Walsh. Scarlett Thacker, Corey Childers and Ralph Childers will serve as honorary pallbearers.
