Obituary for Leonard "Eddie" Wyatt

Leonard "Eddie"  Wyatt
Mr. Leonard “Eddie” Wyatt, age 76, of Cartersville, died on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at his residence. Born in Athens, Tennessee on August 23, 1940, he was the son of the late Calvin Wyatt and Josie Croft Wyatt.

Mr. Wyatt was very creative with metal and wood and worked as a Master Machinist for many years. He was a veteran, having served his country, in the United States Army. Eddie was a “mess” as the old saying goes, with a great sense of humor. He always had a nickname for everybody. Mr. Wyatt was the last of fifteen brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Barbara Fowler Wyatt; his son, Jeff Lacy and wife, Jane Lacy; his daughters, Angela Wyatt Alexandersen and husband, Richard Alexandersen and Tina Wilhite; his grandchildren, Kharis Meggian Wilhite, Andrew and Lauren Alexandersen, Christina and Austin Weinzetl, Adam and Danielle Alexandersen, Hanna, Noah, Jonathan and Olivia Lacy; his great-grandson, Sean Andrew Alexandersen; his sisters-in-law, Dee Montgomery, Annie Mae Wyatt, Martha Sue Holmes, Sarah Ann Allison, Betty Jo Cox and Naymond Ray Cox; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Abernathy and The Reverend Larry Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Wyatt will be carried to the church on Wednesday where he will lie-in-state for one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 – 8 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew and Adam Alexandersen, Austin Weinzetl, Wayne and Jon Cothran, Buddy Wyatt and Justin Chitwood. Dennis Wyatt, Kenny Wyatt, Drew Thomason, Mike Wyatt, Billy Ray Cox, Johnny Calvin Wyatt and Barry Wyatt will serve as honorary pallbearers.
