Obituary for Woodrow Huskins

Woodrow  Huskins
Mr. Woodrow Huskins, 57, of Cartersville, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at his residence after a long fight with cancer. He was born in Cartersville, Georgia on August 15, 1959, the son of the late George Washington Huskins, Sr. and Ardell Kitts Huskins.
Mr. Huskins was a member of Open Bible Wesleyan Church. He worked at Shaw Industries for 38 years. He enjoyed working in the yard and loved to play baseball when he was young. He was a wonderful husband and loved his family. He had a “Heart as big as all outdoors” and considered his coworkers his family. He loved to play Horseshoes. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Joann Dyer, Bernice Croy, Doshia L. Williams, Elsie Davidson; his brothers, James Roy Huskins, George Billy Huskins and Elmer Huskins.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, LaDonna Moon Huskins of Cartersville, Georgia; his three sisters, Willie Mae Miles of Knoxville, Tennessee, Mary Huskins Clark of Cartersville, Georgia, Margaret Ray of White, Georgia; his four brothers, Richard Huskins of Kokomo, Indiana, Jimmy Huskins of Dayton, Ohio, Roy Roscoe Huskins of Lafayette, Georgia, George Huskins of Cartersville, Georgia; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Open Bible Wesleyan Church with Pastor Larry Huskins, Brother Roscoe Huskins and The Reverend Bob Ray officiating. Interment will follow in White United Methodist Church Cemetery in White, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17 until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday January 18 at Open Bible Wesleyan Church.
