John Franklin  McCormick
Mr. John Franklin McCormick, 77, of Cartersville, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell. He was born in Harriman, Tennessee on April 13, 1939 and was the son of the late John D. McCormick and Girlie Morris McCormick Moss.

Mr. McCormick was owner-operator of B&M Motors before retirement. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tiffany Kellman; and his brothers, Billy McCormick and Kenny Moss; and his step-parents, Henry Moss and Ruby McCormick.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Fullard McCormick; his children, Michael John McCormick and his wife, Gennell, Pamela Faye McCormick and Cindy deLatour and her husband, Lloyd; his step-children, Roy Dunsmore, Jr. and his wife, Susie, Michael Dunsmore and his wife, Stephanie and Deborah Rowell and her husband, Stephen; five grandchildren; thirteen step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren; his siblings, Linda Huskins, Larry McCormick (Sandra), Creta Ross, Ann McGee, Carolyn Childs, Judy Rhodes, Joann McDaniel and Kelly Moss.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Dr. Travis Cooke officiating. His entombment will follow in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The American Lung Association, 2452 Spring Road Southeast, Smyrna, Georgia, 30080.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Bowen, Charles Greenway, Charlie Hudson, Robbie Hudson, Kelly Moss and Arturo Pineda.
