Obituary for Willie Dee Nichols

Willie Dee  Nichols
Mrs. Willie Dee Nichols, age 88, of Rydal, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at her residence. She was born in White on September 21, 1928, the daughter of the late William Jones King and Ethel Iowa Dickson.

Willie Dee was a loving mama and nanny and was always kind to everyone. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed doing puzzle books, watching baseball and loved flowers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her children, Charles Nichols; by four brothers, Seward, Max, Jimmy and Hurbert King; her sister, Mae King.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Judy Nichols of Ranger, Jimmy Dean Nichols of Rydal, Doug and Shelia (Pebbles) Nichols of Rydal and Dwayne Nichols of Rydal; her daughters and son-in-law, Cathy Sanford of Rydal and Carol and Bennie Stokes of Fairmount; her grandchildren, Michelle Nichols, Victoria and Donald Riley and Kenny Nichols all of Rydal; a brother, Glenn King of Pine Log; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Ed Pasley officiating. Interment will follow in Miller’s Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be David King, Mark King, Danny Wooten, Benny Stokes, Mikle Stokes and Michael Hardigree.
