Obituary for Ray Clackum

Ray  Clackum
Mr. Ray Vernon Clackum, 79, of Cartersville, died on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 17, 1938, he was the son of the late Lucius Clackum and Elsie Cole Clackum.

Mr. Clackum retired from Lockheed as a Logistics Support Analyst. He served his country in the United States Navy for 12 years and was always a caring and happy sailor. He had a great sense of humor and a wealth of love for his entire family including all animals. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Clackum; and two sisters, Juanita Clackum and Louise Foster.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Clackum; his children, Natalie Richoz (Dillon) and Ray Clackum, Jr.; his grandchildren, The “A” Team; his siblings, Paul Erwin, Marcelle Jones, Sandi Fulmer, Billy Troutt, and Tony Klaer; along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Jody Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.
