Obituary for Dallas William Worsham

Mr. Dallas William Worsham, 96, of Cartersville, died peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Star Manor.
Mr. Worsham was of the Baptist faith and loved raising beagles. He loved and served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII in the European Theater. Mr. Worsham was employed by Goodyear following his service, where he remained until his retirement after 35 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lola Mae Tillery Worsham and his siblings, Wilburn Worsham, Nancy Worsham, Ruth Worsham, Otis Worsham and Travis Worsham.
Survivors include his children, Connie Worsham Abernathy (Clyde) and Steve Worsham (Terry) of Cartersville; his grandchildren, Bryan Abernathy (Pam) of Calhoun, Shane Worsham, (Pam), Ron Worsham and Carl Abernathy (Kelly) all of Cartersville; step-grandchild, Felisha Houp (Jason) of Adairsville; eleven great-grandchildren; Maggie , Jackson, Turner and Ella Abernathy, Austin, Adessa, Dallas and Brandon Worsham, and Taylor, Jayden and Jaxon Houp; his sister, Nina Frances Worsham of Cartersville; along with a brother, Wallace Worsham of Rome.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Bryan Abernathy and The Reverend Michael Tutterow officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 -8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
