Obituary for Harbin Tidwell

Harbin   Tidwell
Mr. Harbin Herman Tidwell, 69, of Cartersville, died on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was born in Cartersville, Georgia on March 19, 1948, and was the son of Florence Cothran Tidwell and the late J.D. Tidwell, Jr.
Harbin was a retired Kroger produce associate. He had a dynamic personality and never met a stranger. Mr. Tidwell was a loyal member of New Zion Baptist Church and was a very giving and humble person. He was a hard worker with a heart of gold. Harbin was a great father who loved his family.
Survivors include his mother, Florence Cothran Tidwell; his wife of 43 years, Lynne Tidwell of Cartersville; his daughters, Stacy Elmer (Jeremy) of Chula Vista, California, Hannah Tidwell of Cartersville; three grandchildren, Caylee Elmer, Carson Elmer and Caleb Elmer; two brothers, Weldon Tidwell (Margaret) of Cartersville, Don Tidwell (Patricia) of Cartersville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend William Faucett, The Reverend Danny Willis and The Reverend David Baker officiating. Interment will follow in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Acworth. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 – 8 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Cornwell, Terry Tidwell, Lenny Tidwell, Brian Cowart, Carson Elmer, Allyn Smith, and Rodney Arnold. Honorary pallbearers will be Bart Turner and Winfred Popham.
