Obituary for William David Teague

Mr. William David Teague, age 81, of Cartersville, died on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Teague was a native of Bartow County, born on March 7, 1936, the son of the late Homer Teague and Maggie Kirk Teague. He was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church and was retired from Chemical Products, where he was employed for 30 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. Mr. Teague was an avid sports fan, especially the Chicago Cubs. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years; a sister, Claire Mulkey; and his beloved dog, Buffy.

Survivors include his son, Doug Teague (Bambi) of Cartersville; his grandchildren, Brandi Teague, Britney Covington (Ryan) and Brooke Teague all of Cartersville, Corbet Archer of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and Sarah Archer of Cartersville; his great-grandchildren, Shelbie Kitchens, Kirsten Covington, Rowan Bragg, Mya Covington and Teagan Archer.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to New Canaan Baptist Church, 1883 JFH Parkway, SE, Cartersville, Ga. 30120.
