Obituary for Stephen Cash

Stephen  Cash
Stephen Cash, age 50, died on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at his residence. Born in Floyd County on April 18, 1967, he was the son of the late Wade Cash, Jr. and Rebecca Cornelius Cash.

Mr. Cash was employed by Papa John’s Pizza for years as a manager. He was an avid lover of Southern Rock and enjoyed attending concerts. He had a special love for his family and treated his nieces and nephews as his own. Through his many battles, he always had a smile and kind words of thanks for everyone. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew, Michael Fortenberry.

Survivors include his sister, Karen Fortenberry (Carey); his nieces, Brook Ingram (Joseph), Meagan Stewart and Becky Price (Todd); along with numerous great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2017 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Chaplain Terry Combs officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Cornett, Kevin Cornett, Jonathan Looney, Allen Cornelius, Justin Troup and Jonathan Gossett.
