Mrs. Mary Ruth Vaughan, 77, of Cartersville, died on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Gordon Hospital. Born in Cartersville, Georgia on October 14, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth Gravley Atkinson.

Mrs. Vaughan liked to spend time with family, enjoyed playing bingo and Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She loved to cook, gardening, shopping and traveling. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Debbie Holland and her sister, Sally Banks.

Survivors include her three daughters, Sue Atkinson of Cartersville, Jenny England of Cartersville, Virginia Holley of Cartersville; her son, Eddie Lee England of Cartersville; a very special friend and companion, Robert “Wayne” Smith of Cartersville; her sisters, Ann Fox (Jim) of Cartersville, Shirley Cross of Cartersville; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, with Reverend Shane Banks and Reverend Larry Huffstetler officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Easton Ray, Robert Bohannon, Anthony McEntire, Franklin Hardman, Dakota Briggs, and Nathaniel Payne. Ricky Hardman will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
