Mr. Edward Lee Coalson Sr., 74, of Adairsville, died Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Born on September 21, 1943 in Fairmount, Georgia, and was the son of the late Cleo Coalson and Ruthell Callahan Coalson Hamby.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Wilson, Diane Hopkins; and his brother, Charles Hamby. Survivors include his children, Kim (Louise) Coalson, of Calhoun, Ga., Edward Lee (Donna) Coalson Jr., Pamela Gail Chappell; his sisters, Patsy (Howard) Fortenberry, of Taylorsville, Barbara Hamby, of Gadsden, Alabama, Ellen (JT) Bradley, of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, Peggy (Dale) Payne, of Cleveland, Tennessee; his brothers, Jimmy (Mary) Coalson, of Glennville, Georgia, Larry (Wanda) Hamby, of Turtletown, Tennessee, Timmy Hamby, of Cleveland, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; best friend Shirley Morrow; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Justin Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Rydal. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1:30 p.m. on Monday prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Boling, Jimmy Jr. Boling, Doyle Botts, Chris Burnett, Josh Hardin and Daniel Adams.
