Obituary for Sara Sanders

Mrs. Sara Elizabeth Sanders, 90, of Cartersville, died on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born in Cedartown on August 24, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Jesse William Howard and Lula Jane Teems Howard.

Sara was a member of Canton Road Church of God and a homemaker. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed cooking for them. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Flora Pratt, Eugene Howard, Branso Howard, J.W. Howard, Jr., Dayton Howard, Robert Howard, Willy Howard, Lucius Howard and Luther Howard.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, John William “J.W.” Sanders of Cartersville; her children, Donna Roberts (Mark) of Chattanooga and Greg Sanders (Sheila) of Acworth; her grandchildren, Casie Moore (Bobby) of Miami, Jacob Roberts (Bianca) of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and Hunter Sanders of Acworth; along with 1 great-grandchild, Huddler Moore of Miami.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Larry Davis, The Reverend Dale Brewer and The Reverend Dewayne McCreary officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from Noon – 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Roberts, Hunter Sanders, Tom Howard, Bobby Howard, Derek Davis and Jake Newhouse.
