Obituary for Jane Cornett

Jane Ann Cornett, 82, of Cartersville, died on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Townsend Park Health & Rehab.

Mrs. Cornett was born in Fort Payne, Alabama on May 26, 1935, the daughter of the late Fred A. Thrasher and Mammie Young Thrasher.

She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Jane was a people person and never met a stranger. She also enjoyed sitting on her front porch. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Robert Cornett; a son, Bobby Cornett; a step-daughter, Becky Tanner; her siblings, Billy Joe Thrasher and Frances Johnson.

Survivors include her children, Reverend David Cornett and wife, Bonnie, Sue Barge and husband, Donnie, LuAnn Wilkey and Allan Conway, and Lisa Gosselin and husband, A.J.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; along with her lifelong friend, Wanda Thompson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 12 Noon – 2:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
