Obituary for Jack Donald Carroll

Jack Donald  Carroll
Mr. Jack Donald Carroll, 83, of Cartersville, died Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Born in Maryville, Tennessee on March 18, 1935, Mr. Carroll was the son of the late Charles David Carroll, Sr. and Mae Teffeller Carroll.

Mr. Carroll retired from Yellow Freight but finished his career with Terminal Transport where he worked for 20 years. Mr. Carroll was an active member and Deacon at Friendship Baptist Church. Until recently he was an avid member of a senior exercise group known as Silver Sneakers. He loved the Braves, Tennessee football and golf. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Doris June Lambert.

Survivors include his daughter, Crystal Carroll Dozier (Michael) of Dahlonega; one granddaughter, Jamie Dozier of Dahlonega; and sister-in-law, Sara Landers of Austell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Frankie Cline, Tony Adcock, Ray Carter, Jeff Woody, Dale Henderson and Larry Greene.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Boystown, 192 NW Central Park Plaza, Port St. Lucie, Florida 34986 or St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or a charity of your choice.
