Obituary for Larry Richard Brendel

Mr. Larry Richard Brendel, 67, of Cartersville, died on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born in Detroit, Michigan on January 9, 1951, he was the son of Glen Lee Brendel and Lois Padgett Brendel.

Larry was retired from Omega Stamping where he was employed as a supervisor. He was a member of Cloverleaf Missionary Baptist Church of Cartersville. He enjoyed NASCAR Racing, building model cars and airplanes, and napping in his favorite chair with his puppy Sophie. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Carissa Brendel, and his sister, Carol King.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Brendel; his daughter, Tara Fairbanks (Chris) of Taylor, Michigan; his sons, Larry Brendel, Jr. of Dearborn, Michigan, and Scott Brendel of River Rouge, Michigan; his parents, Glen and Lois Brendel of Fairmount; his sister, Sherry Reynolds (Dave) of Talking Rock; his brother, Greg Brendel of Fairmount; his grandchildren, Larry Brendel III, Jonathan Brendel, Corissa Brendel, Devin Fairbanks, Chloe Fairbanks; his stepchildren, Amy Robitaille, Brian Hall and Jason Hall.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Seth Bunch officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cartersville cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
