Obituary for Earl Lee Jones
Mr. Earl Lee Jones, age 84, of Cartersville, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Cartersville Medical Center. Mr. Jones was born December 9, 1931 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the late Earl Lee Jones, Sr. and Helen Hammock Jones.
Mr. Jones retired from Winn-Dixie Grocery Store with 30 plus years as the meat market manager. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a successful and self- made man. An avid hunter and golfer, he also enjoyed fishing. Mr. Jones loved to decorate his home for Halloween and Christmas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elaine Catherine Kelly Jones of Cartersville, formerly of Pinellas Park, Florida; his sons, Earl Lee Jones, Jr. of Tampa, Florida and Michael P. Jones (Jeana) of Cartersville; along with three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Tim Samples officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends from 10-10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
