I grew up across the street from mr Turek, and he was a great friend of the family for 20 years and he and his family
Were practically my second family growing up. It deeply saddens me to know that he passed away, but I know he is in a better place. It was an honor to grow up beside such a decorated war hero, and I felt he was a big reason I joined the army to strive and better myself . I will never forget the memories of all the years our families shared together.
